Temple Day with Amy T.

Sometime ago I made a bucket list and one day I might share the whole thing with you all on here, but for now I will say that one of them is that I wish to see every temple in the USA. The goal is to get a picture in front of all these temples. I am going retroactively in this goal, so that my New York semester will count. I know some may say that’s cheating, but I don’t care. It’s my bucket list and I will fulfill it anyway possible.
I told Amy T. about this goal, so the day after visiting BreAna and going to Park City we decided to see all the temples we could. We started at the Jordan River Temple and then we drove to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

The neighborhood that surrounds the Oquirrh Mountain Temple is the cutest I have ever seen. I wish I could live there, but that would require the entire neighborhood to move elsewhere outside of Utah. Not really a fan of Utah. It’s a nice place to visit and to vacation in, but it’s just not where I want to live. The Community that surrounds the Oquirrh Mountain Temple is called Daybreak and here are a few pictures of that community. I am sure you can see why I want to live there.

We then drove to the Draper Temple, where the houses that surround that temple are very castle like. Huge houses, opulent to the extreme! We found one that was located at the top of the street; it took two pictures to get it all!

We thought about going to the Salt Lake City Temple, but it was getting to be rush hour and we didn’t think that would be very fun, so we skipped that one and headed up to the Bountiful Temple. Only to find that it was closed for cleaning! Ugh, so I could only take a picture at the sign and up against the fence. LAME! I do love the sparkly windows on it though.

After the Bountiful Temple we headed north to the Ogden Temple. On the way there Amy told me that the church is remodeling the outside of it soon, so I am glad to have been able to see it again before the remodel.

After walking around the temple grounds and the nearby Deseret Book we walked over to the family fun center that is on the same block. They have indoor surfing, indoor skydiving and lots of other fun stuff. We found a local Chinese food restraint and then had dessert at Farr Better Ice Cream. Yummy!

Just in case you were wondering... this is my route for the day.

  1. Jealous! I want to go temple hopping! I say if we don't make it to Europe, we do a cross country temple hopping trip!
